Overview

For Expo CAPASU 2024, the most important event in Paraguay’s supermarket and retail sector, Bancard sought to engage visitors in a unique and memorable way. The goal was to showcase its range of payment solutions while reinforcing its position as a tech leader in the retail space. The result: an interactive NFC-powered trivia game designed to drive high engagement and product awareness during the event.

Challenge

Bancard wanted to create an interactive game for touchscreen displays where users would answer product-related questions to win prizes, depending on how many answers they got right. The game was intended for a B2B audience and needed to attract attention and encourage active participation in a competitive expo environment.

Strategy

The strategy centered on using NFC-enabled stickers placed on Bancard’s products. Participants could scan these tags with their mobile devices to discover the correct answers to trivia questions displayed on the touchscreen. This gamified interaction served a dual purpose:

It encouraged visitors to engage with the full product lineup.
It educated them about Bancard’s payment technologies through hands-on exploration.

By turning product discovery into a rewarding experience, the game helped reinforce the value of Bancard’s solutions while making the booth a standout destination on the expo floor.

Solution

To bring this concept to life, we designed a touchscreen trivia interface with the following key components:

A clean and intuitive UI that guided users through the game in a fun, time-efficient manner.
Visual cues and animations to indicate progress and keep users engaged.
Seamless NFC interaction prompts, instructing users to scan the correct products in the physical space using their phones.
A prize system that rewarded users based on how many questions they answered correctly, increasing motivation to explore more.

The aesthetic of the game mirrored Bancard’s branding, using bold colors, clean typography, and iconography that aligned with the modern, tech-forward image of the company.

Results

The activation was a success. During Expo CAPASU 2024, Bancard’s stand—branded as the Bancard Market—became a hub of activity. Visitors interacted with the NFC game to learn about payment products in a playful, dynamic way.

The experience highlighted Bancard’s leadership in providing agile, secure, and modern payment solutions for the retail sector. By turning learning into a game, the brand not only stood out at the expo but also deepened engagement with potential clients and industry stakeholders.

Bancard also won the "Most Innovative Stand" prize at theEXPO CAPASU 2024

Expo CAPASU once again proved to be the ideal space to showcase innovation in the supermarket and retail industry, and Bancard’s interactive experience was a clear example of how technology can drive that transformation.
